First suggestions from the Munro Review

The first recommendations from the Munro Review into social work have been published.  They include having a social worker as part of wider multi disciplinary teams.  This seems like an eminently sensible approach.  You can read more here.  The points raised in this article about professionals having real anxieties about making an appropriate child protection referral coincide exactly with our thinking in launching our new safeguarding CPD training.  It will be interesting to see how this works in practice.  One of our outside speakers on the new course is a social worker who was previously ’embedded’ in an IDVA team!
